Alpine Kiwanis Holding 2-Day Food Sale After Storm Cancels Brat Days
After the Alpine Kiwanis were forced to cancel their annual Brat Days fundraiser due to storm damage, they will be recouping some of the money lost by selling uncooked brats and hotdogs this weekend.
Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days Cancellation
The severe storms and flooding that hit Northern Illinois last week caused a lot of damage and ruined a lot of the summer fun we look forward to each year.
The storms destroyed both of the Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days set ups, forcing them to cancel the popular event for the first time ever.

Since rescheduling Brat Days is not an option for this year, the Alpine Kiwanis have a LOT of brats, hotdogs, and other foods to unload, and that is exactly what they plan to do this weekend.
Alpine Kiwanis Food Sale
In case you are unaware, all of the brats and hotdogs that Alpine Kiwanis sells during Brat Days are made exclusively for the event by Johnsonville and cannot be returned.
So, to avoid having to eat (pun intended) a massive monetary loss, they will be selling full and half cases of brats and hotdogs, chips, and more to the public this weekend.
The Alpine Kiwanis brat sale will take place on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Blain's Farm & Fleet on Riverside.

Here's the list of food items and prices that will be available according to WIFR:
- Full case of 40 brats: $50
- Half case of 20 brats: $25
- Full case of 50 hot dogs: $40
- Half case of 25 hot dogs: $20
- 5-6 servings of Veggie BBQ: $25
- Box of Mrs. Fishers chips (50 bags): $30
- Case of 48 cookies: $70
- 1 cookie: $2
All brats and hotdogs being sold are precooked and frozen. All you need to do is brown them up and serve. Sounds like a great excuse to stock the freezer for the months ahead!
