If there's anything that I've learned from watching Grey's Anatomy it's, when in doubt, dance it out.

Dancing, whether it's with yourself (oh, oh, dancing with myself, oh oh oh oh) or with a group of friends, is truly the cure for when you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, sad, angry or down.

Just look at Christina and Meredith. How many times did we watch them dance life's troubles away on Grey's Anatomy? Just watching them dance together will give you so much life.

And so will this video of Officer Thurmond of the Rockford Police Department; we shared it with you last week and since it was posted to Facebook it has gotten 20,000 views.

The United Way of Rock River Valley says a counselor at Rosecrance realized that Officer Thurmond was on to something with this adorable dance battle, and that dance could be used as an effective way to teach kids how to "dance the negativity away."

Dance coping skills were even paired with a special dance move:

Pretty cool.

All we need now is more dance videos.

Thank you, Officer Thurmond and United Way of Rock River Valley for everything you do for Rockford families.
