A New Pub Is Opening Next to Dusty Boots in Rockford Next Month

Opening a new business during a worldwide pandemic has to be beyond nerve-wracking, but when the business was specifically designed to be small and intimate, it may just be exactly what we need right now.

Coming up on August 6th, a new pub and grill called 8th Ward Pub will be opening next to Dusty Boots Tex Mex Bar & Grill on Broadway in Rockford. 8th Ward Pub's owner, Cathy Dzik, (who also owns Dusty Boots), recently told the Rockford Register Star;

There is room for 50 people inside 8th Ward Pub. The business also offers outside dining, a plus with social distancing in mind to prevent spread of the coronavirus. The building has garage doors that open to the outside. And there’s an outside patio. The business shares a parking lot with Dusty Boots so there is opportunity for more outside seating

Now that we've got the intimate setting covered, what about the drinks and food?!?

Dzik says the 8th Ward Pub focuses on local, fresh and organic food, and that there will be no fried foods on the menu. If you love flatbreads, charcuterie boards, and local wines, you are going to LOVE all the options on 8th Ward Pub's menu, so be sure you are there to check it out when it officially opens on August 6th!
