South Beloit is offering both Illinois and Wisconsin residents a new nature center where the Rock and Turtle Rivers converge.

That area where the waters meet is being brought back to life with the creation of "Nature at the Confluence."

It's an urban ecology center to serve as a learning facility for all ages. The park is set on 34 and half acres and will be a place where people can kayak, hike on trails, fish, and spend time with nature.

This Saturday, June 13th from 10am till 12pm, will be the Nature at the Confluence's open house.  All are welcome to attend. Along with the open house will be activities that  include a paddle trip and the installation of native plants.
