A historic building in a nearby town is getting a facelift, but that's not all.

The owners of two different farms are coming together to open a farm-to-table style store in that old building.

Located at 13 S. Wesley Avenue in Mount Morris, Wesley 1895 is the brainchild of Josh Nelson and Jeff Warren. The name comes from the year the building on Wesley Avenue was constructed so it just made sense to Nelson and Warren.

Nelson of Nelson Family Farms and Warren from BerryView Orchard aim "to create a beautiful, inviting space for people from all over to visit and source locally grown items for their table." The press release also mentions "The food you will find here is grown and made locally by farmers and bakers who take the time to put care and attention to detail into every bite."

The invitation to sell at Wesley 1895 extends to bakers, butchers, farmers, and cheesemakers. The press release also announced plans to add a restaurant along with an outdoor patio in the second phase of the store.

Maybe I've watched one too many episodes of Schitt's Creek, but is it too much to ask for Wesley 1895 to be kind of like Rose Apothecary?

Anyway, the renovation of 1895 Wesley should be completed by Labor Day 2021.
