Like it or not, the season of giving is upon us. Christmas decorations are up in stores;  and Santa arrives at the Cherryvale Mall this Friday, November 6. This Friday also marks the return of the Salvation Army bell ringers to local stores, and they need your help.

Members of the Fairdale community gathered this past weekend to celebrate the first wave of families moving back into their homes after they were ripped apart by April's devastating tornado. A program was introduced to Rockford City Hall last week that is designed to give others, who have spent time behind bars, a second chance along with areas of Rockford neighborhoods. As they will be trained to tear down old abandoned homes and buildings.
