According to a report from FOX 32 Chicago, Martel turned himself in to the authorities following an animal cruelty complaint filed by a concerned 29-year-old woman.

The woman accused Martel of engaging in acts of cruelty towards animals and Chicago police investigations revealed that Martel drowned and squeezed two kittens to death, and another died from being mutilated.

Even more shocking, officers found a kitten inside a plastic bag at Martel's residence, which had been microwaved, according to the woman who reported him.

Allegedly, he confessed to his girlfriend that he enjoyed killing cats since he was 8 years old. Reports also suggest that Martel went to great lengths to hide his disgusting hobby by searching Craigslist for look-alike kitten replacements.
