Wrigley Field Sod Is Being Given Away For Free

If you always wanted to own a piece of Wrigley Field, you better start driving to Chicago right now. 

WGN TV reported that the grounds crew at the famed stadium started to replace the sod yesterday. Which means the old stuff has to go somewhere.

The best part is.........it is free!!!

They are placing 18 in squares of sod in the Toyota Prius parking lot free of charge on the corner of Waveland and Clifton Avenues.

This was not supposed to happen till at least 9 PM tonight, but there are reports that the sod is already available.

Now, even though I am a Cardinals fan, I still would think this is a pretty cool souvenir to have. It may not be a World Series, but it still is pretty cool.
