In a post on the Arcadia Police Facebook page, needles that appeared to be sewing needles were found in Halloween candy. What's scary is that the needles not visibly seen until the candy was opened and broken in half.

Parents, we can't stress it enough for you to check your children's candy. If in doubt, crack the candy bar in half to check for foreign objects, or better yet, just throw the stuff out and buy an assorted bag of candy and swap out the candy collected, with candy you know is safe.

Police have not caught the individual who handed out the tainted candy, but are continuing to investigate.

It's sad to say that still, in this day and age, there are people individuals who are out to cause harm to innocent kids, and parents must remain vigilant. It only takes one to ruin Halloween.
