Boom! Just like that, another winter storm will hit the Rockford Area on Tuesday into Wednesday.

At 3:24 am the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for much of the Rockford area including areas to the west and North of Rockford. The Warning will last until Noon on Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service:

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO NOON
CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected through Wednesday morning, mixing
with freezing rain this afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 4
to 7 inches expected. Total ice accumulations of up to one
tenth of an inch expected this afternoon.

* WHERE...Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to noon CST Wednesday.

Also included in the warning are:

Jo Daviess, Carroll and Stephenson counties in Illinois and Green, Rock, and Walworth counties in Wisconsin.

The National weather service says that travel could be very difficult on Tuesday into Wednesday.  Expect very hazardous road conditions will impact your evening commute.
