The Illinois Sheriff's Association knows that college isn't cheap, so that is why they will be awarding $54,500.00 worth of college scholarships throughout the state of Illinois for full time college students. 

Scholarships will be awarded for the 2017-2018 school year, and Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana has $500 to give one worthy Winnebago County student to use towards tuition, books or fees.

All applications must be received by March 15, 2017 and include a 350 word essay that answers this question;
