David's Bridal is the leading wedding retailer in this nation, but it appears online shopping might even be putting the hurt on them.

USA Today reports that David's Bridal missed "a key debt payment" last week, and that "failing to make a debt payment is often a precursor to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection".

If you are a bride-to-be that has already said yes to a David's Bridal dress, don't freak out Bridezilla-style just yet.

David's Bridal said in a statement;

Our financial outlook is strong and we have ample liquidity to meet our key business objectives today and in the future,

With the assistance of our financial and legal advisors, we are engaged in discussions with our lenders in order to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution designed to strengthen our balance sheet so we can increase our financial flexibility and further invest in our business.

I'm not gonna lie, that statement still doesn't make me feel content about the future of David's Bridal, but only time will tell I guess.

My advice for you? If you have ordered a dress at David's, have one you are paying off, or have one needing alterations, get the situation taken care of pronto...just to be safe.
