White Castle Issues Recall for Boxes of Their Frozen Sliders
Since we don't have an actual White Castle restaurant in the Rockford area, I know boxes of frozen White Castle slider are the next best thing.
If you're freezer is stocked full of these famous sliders you better check the product codes immediately, because thousands of them were recently recalled.
According to the FDA's website;
White Castle has initiated a voluntary recall of a limited number of frozen 6 pack cheeseburgers, frozen 6 pack hamburgers, frozen 6 pack jalapeno cheeseburgers, and 16 pack hamburgers, 16 pack cheeseburgers for the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
The voluntary recall will impact product on shelves at select retailers with best by dates ranging from 04 Aug 2020 to 17 Aug 2020. Any product with these dates on shelves is presently being removed. Any product with a best by date before or after these best by dates is not included in the voluntary recall.
So far I have not been able to find a list of retailers where these recalled products were sold, but I have found the product code list, and it's a LONG one. (Click here and scroll down to see it.)
The only good news in this sad slider story is that, as of now, no illnesses have been reported in regards to this recall. If you find some of these recalled product codes in your freezer, toss them out and then contact White Castle at 1-800-843-2728 for a replacement.
