First of all, Q98.5's mobile app is free.
Second, we're not kidding about providing you with Rockford-area news you actually care about without all the doom and gloom. Also, you can stream Q98.5 from any place in the world, literally. But the best part of our app is probably the most underutilized options, sending us your pics, vids, and audio. Now, by sending us those we can use the content freely at our discretion and we want to do just that. We want to play your audio for all of Q98.5's family to hear. Sending something like "I'm (your name) from (your town) and I love Q98.5" it totally encouraged. Here's how to do it after you've downloaded the app.
1. Open the app.
2. Click the menu bar.
3. Click "Submit Photo/Video." This is the same option for sending audio.
4. Fill out this form. (Your info is safe with us. Per FCC rules, we can not sell your info.)
5. After you've filled in the form, click "Select and Submit Media Now."
6. When you select an appropriate media option you will get a message like this...
You will get a similar prompt for photos and videos, too. If you're going to take a pic or video while in the app you'll need to allow access to your camera.
Another important note is the ability to message us anytime for any reason. No, seriously, we love getting stuff from listeners. You can do this on the main page of Q98.5's mobile app.
