As if parents weren't paying enough for things that babies poop and blow boogers in already, prices may go up further on Huggies Diapers and Kleenex tissues.

According to CNN Money;

The maker of Kleenex tissues and Huggies diapers warned costs are going up.

Kimberly-Clark cut its profit outlook Tuesday, citing higher raw materials prices. Chairman and CEO Thomas Falk hinted that the company may have to start charging customers more to make up some of the difference.

In fact, the price inflation may not just apply to Kimberly-Clark's Huggies and Kleenex products. The company also makes Pull-Ups,  Scott and Cottonelle products, so it's likely prices will rise on those brands as well.

I learned sometime towards the end of my first daughter's diaper stage that paying for name brand diapers is a huge waste of money when most store brands work just as well.

Once I realized how much money I was throwing away on name brand diapers I tried every store's brand to see what worked best for my kids. Seriously, I tried them all. My favorite? ALDI's Little Journey's brand.

I'm not bringing this up to say "Huggies suck, don't buy them", I'm just saying that families on a budget have choices if the Huggies price increase becomes too much for them to handle.

The only question I do have about this is, typically store brands are manufactured by the same companies who make the name brand items too. Does that mean prices on store brands will increase as well?

Only time will tell I guess.
