WREX-TV as on hand today as Rockford's official Christmas tree made its way downtown. In the first video, the Christmas tree prepares to be transported from
3600 block of Huffman Boulevard on Tuesday morning at about 9 am. The tree was donated to the city by the homeowner.

In the final video, the Christmas tree is in it's upright position and crews begin the process of trimming the tree.

Rockford's official tree lighting will take place at Rockford's Stroll on State event Saturday, November 26th. The following weekend, Santa Claus will arrive in Rockford for a special evening that the whole family will enjoy, the 2016 Night at the North Pole at the Hilton Garden Inn.
