We've been waiting FOREVER for this COVID nightmare to come to an end, and now that vaccine eligibility is expanding in Illinois, a lot of people are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Along with expanded opportunities to get the shot comes a bit of confusion on the best way to get in line quickly. Where's the best place to go? How do you sign up? Who is getting them done the fastest? No one may have those exact answers yet, but Dr. Sandra Martell from the Winnebago County Health Department recently provided some advice on how to get a quicker place in line according to mystateline.com. Dr. Martell said;

Without a national strategy, everyone really had to plan for their own regional approach,” Martell said. “So, now you see Walgreens has a registration system. We have a registration system. I know there are some that are thinking if they should only register on one system or can they register on multiple. I don’t think it hurts to have redundancy from an emergency preparedness perspective, so register on as many systems as are appropriate for you to register on.

So, the moral of the story is; if you want to get the vaccine ASAP, register everywhere that offers it.  If you haven't registered yet with the Winnebago County Health Department yet, do that now, here. They will contact you when it's your turn to roll up your sleeves.
