Do you need to hear a good story today?

Do you need a daily reminder that not all people and all things suck in 2020?

Pretty sure this heartwarming tale about what volunteers recently did for a Rockford farmer down on his luck will be just the thing you need to hear today.

When I came across this story on mystateline.com, I legit got goosebumps. Remember those high winds and massive rain that tore through the 815 last week? Well, that storm tore down a silo, caused the barn to collapse and kill two cattle at Lyle Hill Farm in Rockford, but surprisingly, there is still a silver lining to this sad tale.

Upon hearing about the storm damage that Lyle Hill Farm sustained, and knowing that the farm still had a LOT of corn left to pick in their fields, the Winnebago County farming community stepped up BIG TIME.

Julie Newhouse, President of the Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau, recently told Eyewitness News that there "was as an overwhelming number of people wanting to help". Newhouse also said;

You may not even know someone but if it’s a part of your industry which it is agriculture we come together.

That, my friends, is what life should be all about...especially in trying times like these. Help others whenever you can; you never know when you may be the one in need of help. Kind gestures are never forgotten.
