Are you or someone you know in need of job or some extra cash?

UPS here in Rockford is hiring.

Mystateline.com reports that UPS announced this past Thursday that they are in need of an additional 2,000 seasonal employees for the upcoming holiday rush.

"The full and part-time seasonal positions include package handlers, drivers and driver-helpers. Driver jobs start at $19.58 per hour, package handlers at $10.20 per hour and $11.76 for driver-helpers."

Now before you say but it's only part time, look at this. "UPS says up to 35% of those hired seasonally over the last three years now have permanent jobs with the company."

Wow! Now that's worth taking the part time shift. According to UPS CEO, David Abney, the company "offers flexible shifts and full and part-time positions." He said that "If you are a student, a working mom or just looking to make extra money for the holidays, we have a job for you."

UPS is hiring at their Rockford location on Airport Drive. To apply and to learn more click here.

Awesome. From what I know about UPS, of the friends I've known who've work for them they offer benefits and are a really good company to work for an work up through the ranks with.

I hope this helps you or someone you know to become gainfully employed once again. nothing feels better than earning your own money and feeling productive. I well remember being unemployed due to a radio station downsize, over 4 almost 5 years ago, those are some tough times. If I can do anything to help someone out I certainly will.
