The Realities of Being a Radio DJ

January 20 is National Disc Jockey Day, so we thought we'd take a moment to pull the curtain away to show you what being on the radio is really like.

Let me tell you first hand that being on the radio isn't as glamorous as you probably think. Do I love my job? You bet!  Do I get to be a part of some pretty awesome events and meet amazing people along the way? Absolutely! Does everyone knowing your name get embarrassing at times? OMG, yes!

As radio DJ's, these are the three things we hear the most about what people think our job is like. Chances are, the reality is probably far from what you thought it was.
