Anyone and everyone can be nominated to be a Q98.5 Hometown Hero. We decided to open up the nominations to any woman, man, teen, or child who does something selfless or exception, or simply deserves recognition for their impact on others in the community.

This week's nomination comes from Krista D. of Milton, Wisconsin. She nominated her friend, Alicia Biedrzycki, also of Milton. Alicia has a lot going on in her life, most importantly she a single mother who is working hard to provide for her child.

Here is Krista's nomination message to Q98.5:

The reason I have selected Alicia as the hometown hero not only is she my friend, she is a single mother raising a 10-year-old boy by herself. She goes to school full time to be an RN and works whenever she is not at school. She cares for the elderly like they are her very own grandparents. She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for especially her son.  She has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.  She deserves to be nominated for this award as she never does anything for herself it’s for everyone around her. I give her a lot of credit for doing what she does by herself.

As a Q98.5 Hometown Hero, Alicia will receive a $100 Amazon gift card thanks to Gustafson's Furniture & Mattress. Although we're certain she won't spend it on herself, whatever she uses it for will bring joy to someone, and that's what life is all about.

You can nominate your Hometown Hero HERE.
