
Stabbing in Rockford: Two Women Arrested for Mob Action
Two women from Rockford are facing serious charges after a fight after a disagreement led to a stabbing.
Rockford Police Investigate Stabbing Incident
According to the Rockford Police Department press release, officers responded to the 1500 block of Seminary Street on Saturday (2/15) just before 7 pm for reports of a stabbing.
When RPD arrived on the south side Rockford scene, officers discovered a woman with a wound on her hand. She was identified as a 24-year-old female who obtained the injury during an altercation, according to the report.
Two Arrested on Serious Charges
Following an investigation by the Rockford Police Department, two individuals were arrested in connection with the stabbing.
According to the report, the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office authorized charges against Kianna Rowell, 26, of Rockford, who faces Aggravated Battery with a Knife and Mob Action charges.
Mariyah Jones, 20, also of Rockford, was charged with Mob Action.
These charges are still accusations and both women are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, according to the press release.
