School Supplies For Parking Ticket Fines Should Be Nationwide

Las Vegas City Council unanimously voted to use part of the Summer to allow parking ticket fines to be paid with school supply donations.

When I read this story, I immediately thought, couldn't more cities do the same thing?

Here's how the fines for supplies trade works:

From June 19, 2019 to July 19, for any parking ticket issued, the fine can be paid with a school supply donation.

The donation must be of equal or greater value than the parking fine. Donations need to be new and unwrapped. They also must be from the approved list; which contains things like: pencils, pens, erasers, index cards, card stock, copy paper, storage bins, rulers, scissors and Post-It notes.
