Like it or not, the season of giving is upon us. Christmas decorations are up in stores;  and Santa arrives at the Cherryvale Mall this Friday, November 6. This Friday also marks the return of the Salvation Army bell ringers to local stores, and they need your help.

If you're looking for a great way to get in the holiday spirit and help community members in need, sign up now to be a Salvation Army bell ringer for this holiday season.

Bell ringing only takes a few hours of your time, and will help provide food and shelter for the homeless and victims of disaster. The money you help raise will also fund after-school care and programs for underprivileged children.

As a bell ringer, you choose the dates, times and locations that are most convenient for you, and volunteers are able to sign up for a minimum of two hour shifts in most areas.

I encourage you to take a look at the shifts and locations available now at registertoring.com, sign up, and do the "most good" this holiday season.

Also, be sure to mark your calendars now for the annual Q98.5 12 Hours of Salvation Army Toy Drive on Friday, December 4, 2015. As you begin your holiday shopping, please pick up a new toy for a needy boy or girl in the Stateline area, and keep listening for more details from Q98.5!
