Roscoe Restaurant Is Closing Its Doors For Good This Month

For the record please let me state, my family loves the Backyard Bar & Grill.

You used to be able to find us all at the Backyard's Cherry Valley location almost every Friday night until they closed a couple years ago.

Since then, my parents have been regulars at the Loves Park location on N Second Street and they are happy again. When I saw the Backyard Grill & Bar post this notice on Facebook today, I truly thought I was going to have to rush them to the ER for medical attention, but then I realized this closing announcement only pertains to the Backyard's Roscoe restaurant...

It's always sad to see a long-term business close in our community, but I really, really hope (for my parent's sake) that this announcement will not be coming soon for the Backyard's location in Loves Park too.
