I hate to see any store in Rockford close, especially when it is one that tries to offer something unique to our community.

JustGoods Fair Trade Marketplace on 7th St. in Downtown Rockford was started 14 years ago by Rockford Urban Ministries as a way to support artists and creators worldwide. Their mission is to allow "the poorest of the poor a better livelihood with respect and dignity." They promote human rights, gender equality and safe conditions for workers all over the World, so it was pretty disappointing to see JustGoods post this on Facebook yesterday:

JustGoods Fair Trade Marketplace will be closing before the end of September, so you better visit them while you still can. If you have any suggestions about what should replace JustGoods, please let the staff know while you there.
