Rockford’s Family Peace Center Is Looking for Local Artists

Rockford's new Family Peace Center located on N Main St. has not one, but two amazing opportunities for local artists to showcase their art and help comfort community members in need.

If you have already created a piece of art that was meant to inspire or provide peace, the Family Peace Center would love to display it.

OR...

If you would like to make a new piece that will provide hope to people in the midst of their darkest hours, the Family Peace Center would love to be your inspiration.

If you're not familiar with the services that the Rockford Family Peace Center provides, here's a quick rundown to serve as inspiration for creating your art piece:

• Counseling and play therapy for youth and adult victims of domestic violence
• Spiritual support
• Sexual assault advocacy and counseling
• Housing and food assistance
• Legal and law enforcement assistance

The Rockford Family Peace Center is always in need of volunteers and donations to keep the doors open. If you have the means or the call to help, please click here for more information on how you can be part of such a vital service for our community.

Just a reminder, all art pieces that will be considered for display need to taken to the Rockford Family Peace Center by September 9, 2020.
