Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary Dog Adoption

Over the years I have adopted two dogs from Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, and they both brought so much joy and love to my life.

Sadly, in the last two years both Brooks and Urban crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and not a day goes by when I don't miss and think about them.

While I can’t foster or bring another pup home right now (my current dogs would definitely protest), I recently learned something amazing that lets me still help lovable dogs in need at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary.

It’s called the Field Trip Program, and it’s seriously the coolest thing.

Noah's Ark Field Trip Program

I'm not sure why I didn't know a field trip program existed at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary until today, but I sure am glad I know about it now!

Here’s how it works:

Every week, certain dogs at Noah’s Ark are get to take a break from the shelter and spend a few hours having fun adventures with people like you and me.

You can take them for a hike, grab a pup cup at Starbucks, stroll around a park, or even just chill on your couch and watch Netflix together. It’s all about giving these pups some stress-free time outside the shelter and helping them socialize.

Field Trips are available Sundays and Mondays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. until Noon. Volunteers must fill out an application, be at least 18 years old with a valid ID, and must schedule a field trip time in advance.

So, if you’ve got a few free hours and some love to give, please sign up. You’ll make a shelter dog’s day—and I promise, they’ll make yours too.

Here are some dogs at Noah's Ark that are ready to enjoy a Field Trip with you this week:
