It's been a minute since there has a been a pro wrestling show in Rockford. In fact, it happened July 12, 2019, when WWE brought a house show to town. This will not be a WWE event but it will be wrestling nonetheless.

The indie show will feature Rockford Auburn High School alumni, Fearless Musa, who has been involved in in-ring action on All Elite Wrestling's YouTube show, AEW DARK. I had a chance to catch up with Musa a few weeks ago and he expressed interest in wrestling in front of his home town wrestling fans very soon. This is very soon, indeed. Musa will battle it out with "Death Proof" Jay Harris, Sunday, August 2, at Kikifer's Entrepreneurial Academy (KEA), 3424 North Main Street in Rockford.

The action starts at 3 p.m. and with an end time of 5:30 p.m. The card not only features Rockford-native Fearless Musa, Rico De La Vega (who has made appearances on Ring of Honor) will also be a part of the show. You get a preview of Musa by watching one of his AEW appearances here.

As far as health and safety for fans, Adrenaline Wrestling shared this on the event's event page.

ADRENALINE WRESTLING advises individuals to utilize approved masks, either surgical masks or improvised masks such as scarves, bandannas, and handkerchiefs to reduce the risk of exposure to yourself and others. It is however required of everyone to either wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival to the event, after using the restroom, sneezing, or coughing.

Tickets are $12 online, $20 at the door, and there's a VIP option which includes 2 ringside seats for $45. You can find all that here.

I don't plan on getting involved in any of the action but crazier things have happened.
