Following multiple complaints by concerned citizens regarding suspicious activity in a North End neighborhood, an investigation was launched by the Rockford Police Department.

Search Warrant Executed on Ridge Avenue

According to a press release from Rockford Police, a residence in the 3400 block of Ridge Avenue had a search warrant issued after evidence was gathered by Rockford PD Narcotics Detectives.

On Tuesday, June 24, detectives executed the warrant and searched the north end property, where they recovered 313 grams of cannabis, packaging materials, and a handgun.

Charges Against Two Rockford Men

After the investigation, the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office approved the following charges against the two male suspects:

  • Christian Daniel, 19, Rockford: Intent to Deliver Cannabis
  • Larenzo Kinard, 45, Rockford: No Valid FOID

Kinard was issued a notice to appear in court, and Daniel was taken to the Winnebago County Jail, according to the RPD report.

Public Asked to Share Information

Charges against the two men are merely accusations, and all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a courty of law, according to the RPD press release.
