Rockford Museum To Host a Haunted Tour That May Make You Pee Your Pants
Maybe saying "pee your pants" is a tad dramatic, but I scare easy, and this upcoming ghost tour of Rockford's Ethnic Heritage Museum sounds way too terrifying for me. Yet, I am completely fascinated by it.
Take a 'Ghostly Encounters' Tour of Rockford's Ethnic Heritage Museum
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, Haunted Rockford will be hosting a Ghostly Encounters tour of the Ethnic Heritage Museum located on S Main St. in Rockford with local authors Terri Reid and Kathi Kresol. Because I am a wimp, I have yet to take one of Haunted Rockford's ghost tours, but I do know a couple of things about them...
- I have had several conversations in the past with Kathi Kresol, and she is scary. Don't get me wrong, Kathi is a super sweet, educated, and fascinating lady, but the stories she tells and the ghostly situations she has personally encountered leave me weak in the knees.
- People who love a good scare LOVE anything Haunted Rockford does.
- This tour of Rockford's Ethnic Heritage Museum will feature a "dowsing rod session". What is a dowsing rod session you ask? Essentially it is using special rods to locate spirits, and when you do, the rods usually form an X. (YIKES!)
This Haunted Rockford event promises a night of "ghostly encounters and ghastly crimes", and trust me, they will deliver it. Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance at hauntedrockford.com. Besides enjoying an evening of bone-chilling stories and eyewitness accounts, you will also get to take a full tour of the Ethnic Heritage Museum, which may or may not be full of spirits.
