Starting at 7 am, both northbound and southbound lanes will be closed to through traffic between Andrews Street and School Street.
Detours in Place, Access Maintained
Through traffic will be detoured to North Johnston Avenue, with clearly marked signage posted near School Street and East State Street.

Officials say residential and business access within the closure zone will remain open, and all businesses along North Central Avenue will continue operating during the project.
Work Expected to Wrap Same Day
The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day on March 24, weather permitting. Drivers traveling near the work zone are urged to slow down, follow posted speed limits, and remain alert for construction crews.
City officials say the work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements to maintain reliable water service. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and allow extra travel time during the closure.
