Rockford ‘Celebrities’ Join Forces For Lip Sync Battle
Ever watched SPIKE TV's Lip Sync Battle? A Rockford charity is hosting a similar event with some of the most well-known names in town. Want to know who's competing for the championship?
Many of us may think we can sing but these skills won't be needed when a group of Rockford's most recognizable names throw down in a lip sync battle. I've been invited to the show, too.
What is it?
A bunch of familiar names and voices will entertain during a night of fun to raise awareness and funds for a charity called Healing Dreams Foundation.
Healing Dreams Foundation's main focus is on families who are battling pediatric cancer and other debilitating illnesses. Their mission is to provide financial support directly to families for medical, medications and other everyday expenses which allows them to focus on caring for their loved one during their life battle. The foundation operates in Rockford, IL and Omaha, NE. You can read how the cities tie together by clicking here.
The Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event is taking over Giovanni's Grand Ballroom on Thursday August 10th and it will be a must-see event.
What to expect that night?
This years event includes a gourmet dinner, silent auction, interactive photo booth, presentation of the Healing Dreams Foundation HONORS Awards and headlined by the 2017 Celebrity Lip Sync Battle.
This years contestants include Rockford's most popular TV/radio celebrities including WIFR's Mike Garrigan and Mark Henderson, 96.7 The Eagles Tina Fox, Q98.5's JB Love, WREX's Elliot Grandia and a special addition ... Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea! The celebrity judges who will try to keep things on track include 97 ZOK's Steve Shannon, 96.7 The Eagles' Double-T and DJ Jordan Chance!
