A steaming and delicious cup of joe will not only do your body good, but it will do a whole lot of good for Rockford Veterans too at one downtown Rockford cafe this month.

Wired Cafe', located at 414 W State St. in downtown Rockford, has announced that throughout the month of April, they will be donating $1 from any daily specials bought to help buy bus passes for local Veterans.

According to WREX, the idea to do this fundraiser came from one of the cafe's regulars;

Wired says a regular customer, who's also a veteran himself, got talking with staff about the need for bus passes to get around to doctor's appointments and such.

Wired Cafe's owners feel this a great way to give back to the community that has helped them succeed, and they will also be accepting donated gas cards from the Rockford community to pass on to local Veterans in need.
