Despite the black eye Rockford seems to get all the time, here's some good news.

A local business is expanding their warehouse and will be adding more jobs to the area.

WIRF reports that Natural Choices Corporation that manufactures water filtration systems broke ground yesterday to build a larger facility for them.

The new building will be 50,000 square feet at a cost of $6 million. They will be moving locations from their place on Sockness Drive, off of Sandy Hollow Road, to at "I-90 and East Riverside."

They said that their "business has grown so much that they now need an even bigger space than the factory and warehouse they’re currently renting in Rockford."

Wow! That's awesome! Business is picking up.

With their business booming that means for more jobs. Right?

The company says that with their new expansion they will be adding and additional 30 full-time jobs to their staff.

If that's not enough, they said that they're expecting to "double in size over the next five years."

Ok, then. That means more jobs coming to the area. We can deal with that. Right!

The new building is "expected to be complete by the end of May 2018."
