If you've lived in and around Rockford, you might know her, and now she is in big trouble.

The Chicago Tribune reports that former professional escort, Crystal Lundberg, originally from Rockford, along with Scott Kennedy, are accused of racking up charges to the tune of $5.8 million on a company credit card.

Kennedy was a onetime financial executive of a Buffalo Grove drug device company. Court documents obtained by the Chicago Tribune say that Kennedy gave Lundberg access to his company credit card over a period of 16 months.

So what kind of charges did they rack up collectively? Expenses included:

  • $970,734 on travel
  • $606,887 on clothing and accessories
  • $552,662 on home décor and improvement
  • $441,312 on lodging
  • $315,117 on entertainment
  • $279,231 on jewelry
  • $253,019 on health and beauty

The expense that stands out is $24,000 for movers to haul Lundberg's potted plants from Illinois to a new 6,500-square-foot mansion in San Diego, where she planned to open a spa. This was all done on the company credit card..

So the big question is why did Kennedy allow Lundberg access to this money? The 43-year-old business man wanted a family. Kennedy told the Tribune:

I wanted to be loved and cared for. My heart kind of overrid my head and said, 'Take a chance, Well, it blew up in my face."

Lundberg led kennedy to believe that her family had money and that she would reimburse him for the expenses.

Lundberg's connection to the Stateline is that back in 2009, according to the FBI, she filed for bankruptcy in 2009. Lundberg attended Jefferson High School
