It's that time of the year once again. Time for the Annual Q98.5 12 Hours of Salvation Toy Drive Friday, December 5 from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. a the Lou Bachrodt Automall. All toys collected will be donated to The Salvation Army for local distribution. Here's why this is my favorite time of the year.

Every year, Q98.5 hosts our annual toy drive event at the Lou Bachrodt Automall for The Salvation Army and the Stateline needy. Please bring out a new, unwrapped toy for a little boy and girl, and place it under our Christmas Tree. Last year, Q98.5 listeners collected over 10,000 new toys for children and over $5,000 in The Salvation Army Red Kettle. The sight was truly one that will stay with me for a lifetime.

Every year, I get a chance to get together with loyal Q98.5 listeners and catch up with each other. The memories shared each year really rekindles the holiday spirit.

The best part of the day for me is at the end of the day. The loading of the boxes with all the toys and loading of the toys into the semi truck. It is an amazing feat that is second to none.

This will be the first Christmas without my Dad who passed away in January to join my Mom. I apologize if I turn into a bundle of goo at any point during the day. It's a amazing day for the Stateline and I look forward to seeing you and chatting with you.

Don't forget your unwrapped toys and we'll see you Friday, December 5, at The Lou Bachrodt Automall.

Thank you in advance for whatever you can do to help the little ones this holiday season with Q98.5.
