Perryville To Be Reduced To One Lane

It's Spring in the Stateline and that means road construction, delays, and repairs. Looks like commuters on Perryville Road are in for headaches next week. Here's why.

The Water Division for the City of Rockford will be repairing a water main at Perryville road and Argus Drive beginning next Tuesday, May 5.

Traffic heading northbound will be reduced to one lane beginning at Argus Drive.

The work will probably last three to five business days with weather permitted.

The City of Rockford states that there will be traffic controls in place and motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route. The Water Division is also requesting drivers use extreme caution near the work areas and to watch for workers.
