Some residents have noticed a new graffiti showing up throughout Rockford, from of end of the city to the other.

Graffiti is still prevalent in our city and it's still illegal as ever.

No person shall write, paint or draw any inscription, figure or mark of any type on any public or private building or other real or personal property owned, operated or maintained by a governmental entity or any agency or instrumentality thereof or by any person, firm or corporation, unless the express permission of the owner or operator of the property has been obtained.

People are starting to notice and wonder about a specific tag spotted near as far east as Perryville Road and Harrison Avenue, and as far west and Kilburn Avenue and Meridian Road. And, the graffiti in question is simple, "A+A", and it seems to appear as nothing special, according to one Redditor.

It’s literally only “A+A” in red from what I’ve seen. Nothing artistic at all. Probably just some bored kids.

When I first noticed the graffiti I saw it one a big yellow traffic light control box. I immediately assumed it is some weird love note, like when people carve their initials in trees or written in the sand.

Another Reddit user noticed the spray-painted love declaration on the bridge in Atwood Park.

Spotted at Atwood Park at the suspension bridge as well. At least if someone is going to tag they should be artistic.

Indeed, if you're going to take time do it at least make it pretty so that when someone like myself decided to write about it there is beautiful (albeit illegal) artwork to share with the masses. Seriously though, if you know what "A+A" is about, let us know.
