You might want to stock up on doughnuts this summer, it's your chance to party with a Rockford cop and it's all for a great cause.

The Rockford Police Department has announced it will be teaming up with Rock River Valley United Way to present a series of summer block parties on Thursdays throughout summer. The series is called Strong Neighborhoods Days. and will encourage citizens, neighbors and police to get to know one in an informal and fun environment

Rockford residents and the general public can meet with Rockford District police officers.  All of the parties will include:

  • Bomb robot demonstrations\
  • Tours of the Rockford Police mobile command center
  • Strong Neighborhoods Houses
  • Free Food
  • Free t-shirts to attendees

June 9, 2016 – Revell Strong Neighborhoods House (1233 Revell Ave.) 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

June 16, 2016 – Irving Strong Neighborhoods House (312 Irving Ave.) 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

June 23, 2016 – 8th Avenue Strong Neighborhoods House (908 8th Ave.) 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

June 30, 2016 – Cameron Ave. & Idlewood Terrace 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

July 7, 2016 – Creek View Rd. & E. Lawn Dr. 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
