It is list we can proud to be on!  Though you might want to get a designated driver. Illinois made the list of the Top 10 Party States in AmericaI can only image how much fun it was to "research" this in depth. According to Retale.com, Illinois ranked at #4 out of all 50 states. Our neighbors to the north, Wisconsin also made the list at #10....so take that Packer fans!

The criteria used to come up with the rankings includes the following:

• Alcohol consumption per capita
• Number of nightclubs per capita
• Number of music festivals in each state
• Most popular tourist destinations
• Number of bars per capita
• Population density
• Last call: opening and closing hours
• Number of universities and colleges per capita
• Combined alcohol taxes (lower the better)
• Median age (lower the better)
