Stroll on State in 2020 was like a lot of other things in 2020, weird. Instead of a big celebration in downtown Rockford, we had a Stroll on State "season" lasting from after Thanksgiving till Christmas. The Rockford Area Visitors and Convention Board did an excellent job planning what events they could, but it just wasn't what it used to be.

That all changes in 2021. Stroll on State is back and bigger than ever. The merry and bright holiday event will be in person this Saturday, November 27 from 2-9PM. Everyone seems to be in a rush to start Christmas the second Halloween is over, but the Christmas season in Rockford doesn't officially begin until we get our "Stroll" on as a community.

One of the big draws to Stroll on State is the ability to knock out some of your Christmas shopping with 4 weeks to go before December 25th. As someone who routinely waits until the last minute to do some shopping, this can be a life saver.

But they need vendors to help fill their market locations. That's where you come in. Do you make things that you like to sell? Come sell them at Stroll on State this year. They're currently taking applications, that you can fill out here. Applications to become a Stroll on State 2021 vendor are due by November 5th, so act fast.

There will be two main locations for vendors this year appropriately named Frosty's Merry Market. They will be in the Rockford City Markey Pavillion at the corner of State and Water, and the parking lot at the corner of North Main and Mulberry Streets.

Stroll on State 2021! It's going to be awesome!
