One of Illinois’ Fastest Growing Morning Shows Gets a New Anchor
It's a fresh new year and a fresh new face is joining Rockford's fastest growing morning show, Eyewitness News in the Morning.
Welcome to Rockford, Marcus!
There's something about January 2022, a little bonus twinge of positivity circling the area, do you feel it?
It could be because you bought a new planner, it could be because you're too cold to even think about anything negative or maybe you felt the warmth of Eyewitness News in the Morning's latest addition, Marcus Walter, before you even know he was joining the team.
If you've watched Eyewitness News at all in the past few months, you've met Marcus, who is a stellar meteorologist and has been helping out Candice King and Joey Marino for the second half of 2021.
Well, now you'll get the chance to spend four hours a day with Marcus as he joins Eyewitness News Anchor Whitney Martin from 5 to 9 a.m. every weekday morning.
Marcus is from Chicago and just moved to the Stateline to really dive into this position and he's ready to wake up early and get you what you need to know each morning starting tomorrow, January 6.
Is Marcus really as warm and nice as he seems on TV?
One thousand percent yes. I get the chance to work with the morning show team from time to time and have met Marcus plenty of times and even a quick 'hello' from him in the hallway brightens your day.
You can also catch Marcus with me this Friday night on Good Day Stateline, we're introducing him to some of Rockford's most delicious food at 5:30 and 11:30pm on FOX39.
