Frequent shoppers of Victoria's Secret know that there have been a lot of changes lately in the stores. The Victoria's Secret catalog is no longer; the store stopped selling swimwear, and soon we'll have to kiss our free panty coupons goodbye for good.

I have often wondered how many people who enter Victoria's Secret manned with their free panty coupon actually leave the store with more than just their free undie. Apparently, not many do.

Stuart Burgdoerfer, chief financial officer for L Brands, the parent company of Victoria's Secret. recently told The Washington Post:

The promotion was no longer the magic traffic-and-sales magnet it once was. These days, 40 percent of the customers that redeem the free panty don’t end up buying anything else. And, Burgdoerfer added, the constant drumbeat of deals was cheapening the brand.

Other changes on the VS horizon may be a departure from their signature molded cups and underwires for more bralette style bras.

One thing we do know for sure; the lines in the VS store at the Cherryvale Mall will still be crazy this holiday season, and the Angels will live on. Whew!
