An iconic classic rock band will headline an Illinois fair this September, with what promises to be a high-energy performance celebrating four decades of rock hits.

Rock Legends Headline Du Quoin State Fair

Night Ranger is set to bring its arena-sized sound to downstate Illinois this fall, headlining the Du Quoin State Fair on Friday, September 4, 2026. The multi-platinum rock band will deliver a night of timeless hits and high-voltage energy, continuing a 40-year legacy that has defined classic American rock.

Fresh off the release of their live album 40 Years and a Night with Contemporary Youth Orchestra, the band is epically celebrating a milestone anniversary.

Filmed at Cleveland's  KeyBank State Theatre, the project features more than 80 student musicians performing alongside the band, giving new life to iconic anthems like "Sister Christian," (You Can Still) Rock in America," and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me."

A Four-Decade Rock Legacy

With more than 17 million albums sold worldwide and over 4,000 live performances, Night Ranger's impact stretches across generations. Their catalog includes multi-platinum and gold-certified releases such as Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life, and Man in Motion.

Collectively, their music has reached more than a billion radio listeners, cementing their place in arena rock history.

Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II says the band's cross-generational appeal makes them a perfect fit for the fair, while Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison called the booking a reflection of the fair's commitment to top-tier live entertainment.

Ticket Information

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 am via Ticketmaster. Prices are $25 to 35, with the Du Quoin State Fair running August 28 through September 7.
