New Year’s Eve Fun For Kids in Rockford
If your family is in the mood for fun that happens WAY before the ball drops at midnight, here are a few things you should check out in Rockford today:
- Countdown to FUN at Discovery Center Museum - Kids can create their own party hats and noisemakers, plus there will be a countdown to midnight every hour complete with confetti. Takes place Noon to 4 p.m., $8 per person, kids 1 and under are free.
- Noon Year's Eve at Carlson Ice Arena - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with $8 Skate and Play Special which includes public skate admission, skate rental and admission into Sapora Playworld. Balloon drop and countdown happening at Noon with music, meal deals and more.
- New Year's Eve Family Open Bowl at Cherry Bowl - 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Kids 16 and under can bowl for 50 cents with a paying adult, plus you can get 50 cent hotdogs too!
- New Year Around the World at Burpee Museum of Natural History - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate the New Year with traditions, dances, and decorations from all over the world, Adults 13 and older are $10, children 4 through 12 are $9, and children 3 and under are free.
