If there's one thing I love about the holiday season in Rockford, it's that there’s always a long list of festive events to go to. It doesn't matter how many times we've seen Santa or how many light displays we've driven through, I'm always up for seeing more.

Going to craft and vendor shows is another thing that I enjoy doing each fall and holiday season, because I can always find something unique and locally made to buy at them. If you have a list full of hard-to-buy-for people this Christmas, you should check out the new Merry & Bright Market at Rivets Stadium December 13 and 14.

The New Merry & Bright Market at Rivets Stadium

For two days only, Rivets Stadium will transform into a holiday wonderland filled with a Christmas-tree forest, heated tents with local vendors, fun kids’ activities, and even Santa himself.

Rockford Rivets owner Todd Kolosso told mystateline.com:

This event is something we’ve wanted to bring to Rockford for a long time. The Merry & Bright Market gives us the chance to celebrate small businesses, connect with families outside of baseball season, and help create new holiday traditions within our community.

Admission to the Merry & Bright Market is free, but make sure you bring some cash for shopping and the low-cost activities your kids will love!
