New Dunkin’ Donuts Store Coming to Freeport

Freeport residents, rejoice! You will have a new Dunkin' Donuts in the community by this summer!

Freeport Mayor Jim Gitz recently confirmed to the Journal Standard newspaper that the city was contacted by the coffee chain about building a new location in Freeport back in December, and that they will be constructing a new structure in the old Sonic location at 1811 S West Ave.

Construction is expected to be completed in the next 10-12 weeks, and Dunkin' Donuts is hoping this new store will attract people traveling through Freeport since it will be located near Route 26.

I can smell the delicious coffee brewing already!
