New Davis Park ‘Rockford’ Art Is Awesome & Could Win You a Prize

Davis Park is really starting to transform in a much-needed way. We've finally got the Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront hotel in place of the long-time dilapidated Amerock building. Founders Landing building at Davis Park has a beautifully fresh coat of paint (and other updates) and there's more.

This week Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau unveiled a new "Rockford" outdoor art exhibit.

Head over to the north lawn of historic Davis Park in downtown Rockford to check out our new interactive art display--four-feet tall letters that spell ROCKFORD and make for the perfect photo opportunity!

The final product looks pretty awesome and snapping a pic of if could win you a ... suite... overnight package at Rockford's new downtown hotel.

To further celebrate, we're partnering with  Embassy Suites Rockford to host a community photo contest between now and Tuesday, September 8. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to share a fun selfie or an artistic photo of the letters on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram using the hashtag #HereInRockford to be entered in the contest. The winner, chosen at random by RACVB, will receive a Rockford Staycation prize package including a one-night hotel stay at the Embassy Suites valued at $179 as well as a $100 gift certificate to the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, The Top.
