I think everyone deserves a free doughnut right now. Just sayin'.

National Doughnut Day is happening on Friday, June 5. And like I said, you totally deserve to indulge and get a free doughnut.

Here's a list of some places you can score some free goodness -

First up is Dunkin -

Next we've got Krispy Kreme -

Check out how how Entenmanns is celebrating -

Finally we have the Salvation Army (who actually started the holiday) -

Held annually on the first Friday in June, National Donut Day is a sweet time to celebrate America’s heroes. On June 5, The Salvation Army will thank the men and women on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic by delivering donuts and hope.

This tradition dates back to World War I, when nearly 250 Salvation Army volunteers traveled overseas to provide emotional and spiritual support, fried confectionary, clothes and supplies to troops. For more than a century, the organization has continued to provide snacks, hydration, and comfort to the first responders and front-line workers.

So grab one for yourself, and grab one for someone who deserves a little love in doughnut form.
